1. Imidocarb Dipropionate
Clinical use: For
treatment of Babesiosis and Anaplasmosis.
Side
effects: May cause injection pain and mild cholinergic signs, such
as salivation, nasal drip or vomiting. Other less common side effects
are panting, restlessness, and diarrhea
Solution:
Severe
signs may be reversed with atropine sulfate. Notes: Second Dose must be
repeated after 48 Hrs
Horses: For Babesia:3mg/kg IM for 24Hrs
Ruminants: For
Babesia: 1.2 mg/kg SC SD ; For Anaplasma: 3mg/kg SC ;
For Prophylaxis: 3mg/kg SC
